IDF recovers three dead hostages in Gaza ‐ including Shani Louk, whose half-naked body was paraded by Hamas on Oct. 7
2024-05-17
[NYPost] Israel Defense Forces have recovered the bodies of three Israeli hostages in Gaza including Shani Louk, who became an international symbol of Hamas’ savagery after images showed her being paraded around half-naked in the back of a pickup truck during the Oct. 7 attacks.

IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari announced Friday that they recovered Louk, 22, and two additional victims of the music festival massacre, Amit Buskila, 28, and Itzik Gelernter, 58, during the Rafah operation

“Shani Louk, Amit Buskila and Yitzhak Gelernter were kidnapped and murdered by Hamas terrorists on October 7 from the Nova Music Festival,” the IDF said in a statement.

“Overnight, our troops recovered their bodies and brought them back home to Israel. We will continue operating to bring all of our hostages.”

More than 360 Israeli revelers were murdered by militants at the Nova festival, which became a key target in the terror group’s unprovoked surprise attack on the Jewish home state.

Louk was one of around 40 Israeli hostages seized during the bloody assault on the music festival. Her family announced in late October that she had died at the hands of Hamas, Israel’s President Isaac Herzog later revealing to a German newspaper she had been beheaded.

Israel describes Iran's 350-missile attack as a 'declaration of war' and vows more 'offensive and defensive action' as G7 leaders including Rishi Sunak 'stand ready to take further measures' - but the US WON'T join any retaliation
2024-04-15
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Israel has described Iran's unprecedented 350-missile attack as a 'declaration of war' and confirmed it has approved plans for 'offensive and defensive action'.

The country's president Isaac Herzog insisted that Israel did not want a war but suggested they would retaliate after Iran's audacious airstrike early on Sunday.

He said it was 'about time the world faces this empire of evil in Tehran' and makes it clear that its behaviour is 'unacceptable'.

President Herzog told Sky News: 'It's a declaration of war... we are considering all options and I'm quite confident we will take the necessary steps to protect and defend our people.'

Tehran had signalled that an attack was coming in retaliation for an airstrike on its diplomatic compound in Damascus, Syria, that killed two top Iranian generals earlier this month.

IDF Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari accused Iran of trying to 'ignite the Middle East and escalate the region' by firing 60 tonnes of suicide drones, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and rockets at Israel overnight - but insisted his army was on 'high alert'.

'Over the last two hours, we approved operational plans for both offensive and defensive action,' he told reporters on Sunday. 'We will continue to protect the State of Israel, and together with our partners, we will continue to build a more secure and stable future for the entire Middle East.'

The IDF spokesman said Iran's plan had 'failed' - as he praised the response from the 'regional alliance' which helped down '99 per cent' of the missiles fired. He did not elaborate on the approved plans, but it came after a meeting of Israel's war cabinet.

Leaders of the G7 - including UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak - also held talks on Sunday in which they 'unequivocally' condemned Iran's attack on Israel and warned that the risk of an 'uncontrollable regional escalation' must be avoided.

Chronicle: Iran's war against Israel, 14 April 2024
2024-04-15
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] 23:30 Air attack by Iran on the night of April 14 is a “declaration of war” on Israel. This was stated by the country's President Isaac Herzog. He noted that Israel is now “considering all options” for responding to the attack, but is not looking for war. According to him, the Iranian attack was another example of how Tehran is spreading chaos, terror and instability throughout the world.
It should be noted that in Israel the president is really nothing more than an elected constitutional monarch. All the power resides with the prime minister, so President Herzog ought to be voicing Bibi’s decisions here, not his own. But given that the Biden administration, among others, is being pissy about Prime Minister Netanyahu, it makes sense that the president was tapped to speak out.
13:44 In Iran, two capital airports in Tehran, as well as in cities in the west of the country, stopped operating. The pause in their work will last until 6:00 on Monday, April 15, the ISNA agency reported.

12:12 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Western politicians strongly condemned Iran's massive attack against Israel. They are unanimous that Iran's actions are completely unacceptable and pose the risk of an unprecedented further escalation of the situation in the Middle East.

10:54 Iran’s massive strike on Israel was allegedly “successful” and led to the fulfillment of the goals set by the Iranian command. This statement was made by the Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, IRNA reports. According to him, the strike was concentrated on a “major information center”, as well as on the Nevatim air base, where F-35 aircraft are based. “Both of these centers were largely destroyed and became inactive,” says Bagheri.
It sure looks that way if you mistake a real fire in Chile for an imaginary one in Israel. That’s as bad as posting tweets from wargames based in imaginary Chernarus with the claim that they were taken in Ukraine.
10:22 The US military intercepted dozens of missiles and drones attacking Israel from Iran, Iraq, Syria and Yemen. This statement was made by Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin. He called on Iran to immediately stop further attacks, including by its proxy forces, and reduce tensions.

10:00 The Israel Airports Authority announced the opening of Israeli airspace from 7:30 a.m. the week after the Iranian attack. However, the flight schedule at Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv may change. Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon also opened their airspace.

09:00 On the night of the week, Iran fired about 300 drones and a missile at Israel. 99% of them were intercepted. This was announced by the official representative of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari.

According to him, Iran launched 170 drones into Israel, and none of them invaded Israeli airspace. Iran also fired 30 cruise missiles, 25 of which were shot down by the Israeli Air Force. In addition, Iran fired 120 ballistic missiles. Some missiles managed to penetrate Israeli defenses and hit the Nevatim airbase in southern Israel. Its infrastructure suffered minor damage, but "capabilities were not blunted."

08:08 US President Joe Biden had a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the White House press service reported. The American leader announced a meeting of G7 leaders "to coordinate a common diplomatic response to Iran's brazen attack."

05:15 The US Congress will consider a bill to support Israel next week. This was announced by Republican Majority Leader in the House of Representatives Steve Scalise. Perhaps this will be the same bill that also provides for $60 billion in military assistance to Ukraine. Scalise said "additional information... will be provided."

03:05 As a result of Iran's night attack on Israel, 99% of Iranian drones were shot down. This was reported by the Ynet portal with reference to anonymous Israeli officials. They also promised a "strong response to Iran" soon.

At the same time, the Times of Israel, citing a representative of the Israeli defense department, reported that more than a hundred Iranian UAVs were intercepted by the US and British military outside Israeli airspace.

Sweden’s Quran burner says he is leaving for Norway over threat of deportation
2024-03-31
[IsraelTimes] Christian Iraqi Salwan Momika, who drew outrage from Moslem world with torching of Islam’s holy tome, says Swedish freedom of expression and rights laws are ’a big lie’

An Iraqi refugee in Sweden who stoked international outrage by repeatedly desecrating the Koran last year, said Wednesday that he was leaving the country for neighboring Norway after Sweden revoked his residency permit.

Salwan Momika, a Christian Iraqi who burned Korans at a slew of protests in Sweden last summer, told AFP that he had left Sweden and arrived in Norway, where he planned to seek asylum.

"I left Sweden because of the persecution I was subjected to by government institutions," Momika said in a text message.

Momika’s Koran burning
...One of the basic tenets of Islam is that once a Koran has been printed it is expected to last for all time, no matter how old, ratty, and smelly other, lesser holy books may become. Should it actually become necessary to put a Koran out of its misery there is a ritual that includes extensive charivari, featuring long drawn-wailing and head bonking, ritual wife beating, and the sacrifice of dozens of women's noses and pubic lips. When the actual disposal has been completed there is a prescribed period of celebratory gun sex with the expectation of a minimum of two hundred casualties. Should actual infidels dispose of a Koran, Islamic custom calls for three weeks of rioting and a minimum of three dozen dead, which is a holdover from the days of Moloch worship....
s sparked widespread outrage and condemnation in Moslem countries.

Iraqi protesters stormed the Swedish embassy in Baghdad twice in July, starting fires within the compound on the second occasion.

The Swedish government condemned the desecrations of the Koran but stressed the country’s laws regarding freedom of speech and assembly.

But prosecutors have investigated whether his actions are permissible under Sweden’s hate speech law, which prohibits incitement of hatred against groups or individuals based on race, religion or sexual orientation. Momika says his protests target the religion of Islam, not Moslem people.

Sweden’s intelligence agency heightened its terror alert level in mid-August to four on a scale of five after the angry reactions made the country a "prioritized target."

The Swedish Migration Agency revoked Momika’s residency permit in October, citing false information in his original application, but he was granted a temporary one as it said there was an "impediment to enforcement" of deportation to Iraq.

The month before, Iraq had requested his extradition over one of the Koran burnings.

"Sweden has become a threat to me after the decision to expel me and the threat to extradite me to Iraq," Momika said, calling Sweden’s freedom of expression and protection of human rights
...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty...
"a big lie."

His Koran-burning activities led to a Moslem activist muppet requesting and receiving permission to burn Jewish and Christian versions of the Bible outside the Israeli Embassy in Stockholm.

The move sparked widespread outrage in Israel and Jewish groups with President Isaac Herzog calling it an act of "pure hate" and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu saying "Israel viewed very severely this shameful decision to harm the holy of holies of the Jewish people."

However,
there's more than one way to skin a cat...
the activist muppet, identified as Ahmad Alush, 32, backed off from the threat saying he only wanted to draw attention to Momika’s burnings.

‘Be quiet:’ Israel summons Turkish envoy after Erdogan threatens Netanyahu
2024-03-23
[IsraelTimes] Deputy ambassador called in for a ’serious reprimand’ as Ottoman Turkish president vows to send Netanyahu ’to Allah’

Foreign Minister Israel Katz on Friday ordered the Foreign Ministry to summon The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
’s envoy to Israel for a "serious reprimand" after Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First
...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really more important...
vowed to "send [Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu] to Allah."

"I instructed officials to summon the Ottoman Turkish deputy ambassador to Israel for a serious reprimand, following Erdogan’s serious attack on Prime Minister Netanyahu and his threats to send PM Netanyahu to Allah and to convey a clear message to Erdogan," Katz posted on X.

"You who support the burning of babies, murderers, rapists and the mutilation of corpses by Hamas
...the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
criminals, [are] the last one who can speak about God. There is no God who will listen to those who support the atrocities and crimes against humanity committed by your barbaric Hamas friends," Katz said. "Be quiet and shame on you!"

The deputy ambassador was summoned as Turkey withdrew its ambassador at the start of the war.

In a speech on Thursday at an election rally Erdogan vowed to "send [Netanyahu] to Allah to take care of him, make him miserable and curse him."

Erdogan has increasingly stepped up his rhetoric in the wake of October 7, attacking Israel and Netanyahu and giving his full support to Hamas, who he has called "freedom fighters."

"No one can make us qualify Hamas as a terrorist organization," he said in a speech in Istanbul earlier in the month. "Turkey is a country that speaks openly with Hamas leaders and firmly backs them."

He also claimed that "Netanyahu and his administration, with their crimes against humanity in Gazoo

The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. Hamas is listed as a terror organization by the United States, Israel, the United Kingdom, the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and other countries.

In October, Erdogan claimed that Hamas was "not a terrorist organization" but "a group of mujahideen defending their lands." "Mujahideen" is an Arabic term for those engaged in jihad, or holy war.

The Ottoman Turkish president has been one of the most virulent critics of Israel since the start of the war in Gaza, which began on October 7 after thousands of Hamas-led forces of Evil burst into Israel by air, land and sea, killing some 1,200 people and kidnapping another 253, mostly civilians.

Erdogan has not officially condemned Hamas’s slaughter of Israeli civilians.

His government also maintains strong ties with Hamas, and Turkey has hosted some of its leaders. While the country insisted that it only hosted the group’s political wing, in 2020, Israel provided Ottoman Turkish intelligence with evidence that members of Hamas’s military wing operate in the office, under the supervision of Beirut-based Saleh al-Arouri, who was killed in an alleged Israeli strike in Leb

Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
in January.

In January, Erdogan’s foreign minister met the terror group’s Qatar

...became Prime Minister of Gaza after the legislative elections of 2006 which Hamas won. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank...
.

Erdogan had been in the midst of an effort to warm ties with Israel in the months before the war, but has since sharply backtracked and returned to the same vitriolic attacks that characterized many of his previous years in power.

He and Netanyahu repeatedly aimed brickbats at each other in the years since a 2010 Israeli commando raid on the Gaza-bound Mavi Marmara ship, part of a blockade-busting flotilla, that left dead 10 Ottoman Turkish activists who attacked IDF soldiers aboard the ship. In July 2014, Erdogan accused the Jewish state of "keeping Hitler’s spirit alive" during a war with Gaza.

Ties later saw a moderate improvement, but both countries withdrew their ambassadors in 2018 amid violence in Gaza and the Trump administration’s relocation of its embassy to Jerusalem.

Facing hardening diplomatic isolation and economic woes, Erdogan began to publicly display an openness toward rapprochement in December 2020.

In August 2022, Israel and Turkey announced a full renewal of diplomatic ties.

In late September 2023, Erdogan met with Netanyahu in New York for their first known sit-down and the two enthusiastically discussed avenues of cooperation. President Isaac Herzog was hosted by Erdogan last March in Ankara — the first high-level Israeli visit since 2008 — and Foreign Minister Eli Cohen met the Ottoman Turkish leader in February 2023. Then-prime minister Yair Lapid met with Erdogan in New York during last year’s General Assembly.

Israel and Turkey again withdrew their ambassadors with the outbreak of the war, in Israel’s case as a safety measure.

Communist US lawmakers went on a SECRET trip to Communist Cuba
2024-03-01
[NYP] Progressive Reps. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) traveled to Cuba last week — a secret trip that has outraged several Republican lawmakers.

Jayapal, the chairwoman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, and Omar, the deputy chairwoman, led a delegation of about a dozen people to the communist island, according to the Miami Herald.

A staffer from Rep. Barbara Lee’s (D-Calif.) office was also among those on the trip, according to the outlet, which notes that the travel was not disclosed by the liberal lawmakers beforehand or reported on in Cuban state media.

"Representatives Jayapal and Omar traveled to Cuba last week, where they met with people from across Cuban civil society and government officials to discuss human rights and the U.S.-Cuba bilateral relationship," a spokesperson for the progressive caucus told the Miami Herald.

The mysterious trip, which took place during a week when the House was in recess, also overlapped with a visit to Havana by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who traveled to the island as part of a Latin American tour that included stops in Venezuela and Brazil.

Herzog says Saudi normalization would be a win over Hamas, pushes back on Qatari PM’s hostage remark
2024-02-20
From three days ago.
[IsraelTimes] President Isaac Herzog calls for Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
to normalize ties with his country as that would be a win against Hamas
...a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
Herzog tells the Munich Security Conference that one of the aims of Hamas when it attacked Israel on October 7 was to disrupt talks to establish ties with Riyadh.

"That is why moving on with Saudi Arabia will clearly be a victory over what Hamas did," he argues. "And that is why I truly believe that moving forward to normalization and making whatever efforts that can be made is a very important, historical opportunity."

Herzog confirms meeting yesterday with Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
i Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, who he says is making "major efforts" toward the return of the hostages.

"It’s complicated, it’s difficult. One has to make sure that we know whether there is anybody who makes decisions on the other side," Herzog says. "After all, you’re dealing with people who are being hidden and scattered all around Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. , mostly in the tunnels and we have to know their whereabouts. We are worried about the medication that came in and according to our data and information, it hasn’t been received yet — or by some of them, but most of them we don’t know."

He then appears to reject the Qatari premier’s comment that ending the Israel-Hamas war shouldn’t be conditioned on a hostage agreement.

"If one wants to move on and find a horizon and end this dire situation, which was initiated by Hamas in cruelty of unprecedented record... one has to resolve the issue of the hostages and bring them back home safely and as soon as possible," the president says.

The president also reveals Israeli forces operating in Gaza found a book titled "The End of the Jews" that was written by Mahmoud al-Zahar, a cofounder of the Hamas terror group.

"This book first of all says we should not recognize the fact that there are Jews and Jewish people, but most predominantly it hails the Holocaust. It hails what the Nazis have done, and calls for nations to follow what the Nazis have done," Herzog says, noting Munich’s proximity to the Dachau concentration camp.

Italian FM reveals country ceased arms shipments to Israel starting October 7
2024-01-23
[IsraelTimes] In rebuttal of opposition politician’s concerns Italian arms being used for ’war crimes,’ Antonio Tajani states weapons exports were halted at war’s outset.

Italian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani told local media Saturday that his country had halted all arms shipments to Israel since Hamas
...the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
’s brutal October 7 onslaught.

The minister’s comments, made in an interview with Italian newspapers Nazione, Giorno, and Resto del Carlino, were a response to a demand by opposition leader Elly Schlein that the Italian government stop weapons exports to the Middle East. Tajani accused her of being "misinformed."

"Since October 7, we have decided not to send any more arms to Israel, so there is no need to discuss this point," said Tajani, according to a report from Italian news agency ANSA.

Speaking at a Friday meeting of the center-left Democratic Party
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
, which she heads, Schlein said that "we must face the issue of avoiding fueling these conflicts, of avoiding sending arms and exporting arms to conflicts, to the conflict in the Middle East, in this case particularly to Israel," according to ANSA.

"We cannot risk weapons being used to commit what could be construed as war crimes," added the opposition politician.

According to Israeli news site Walla, some five percent of Israeli arms purchases over the past decade have come from Italia, which include helicopters and naval artillery.
Oh. So the stoppage is more in the way of an annoyance than an existential crisis.
In separate news, Tajani said in an interview with Italian radio Friday that his country would be willing to send troops to a peacekeeping mission in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, ANSA reported.
That’s nice.
On Sunday, following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s stated refusal to accept a two-state formula for peace, Tajani told news hounds that President Isaac Herzog is nonetheless open to such a solution, according to a report in Italian daily Il Tempo.
But the president of Israel is a ceremonial post without power, like an elected constitutional monarch. His agreement or disagreement matters not in the least.
Tajani, a former air force officer
...he was an air defense controller on a radar base in the middle of Italy...
who has led the conservative Forza Italia party since the death of its chairman Silvio Berlusconi in July, made an early solidarity visit to Israel at the start of the war on Hamas, and in November reaffirmed with other G7 nations his belief in Israel’s right to defend itself, within the bounds of international law, against Hamas aggression.

By December, the Italian foreign minister struck a more critical tone, condemning Israel for shooting inside a Gaza church.
Wasn’t that shown to actually have been the work of Hamas?
In January, as president of the G7, Tajani explored with other foreign ministers in the group the possibility of applying pressure on Israel to bring the war to a "rapid" end.
Hamas has promised to repeat the October 7th massacre over and over until the Jews are all gone. Forcing a premature end to the Israeli response will just bring the next kidnap-and-massacre attack that much closer.
On the subject of South Africa’s ongoing claim at the International Court of Justice that Israel is committing "genocide" against Gazooks, Tajani has said that although Israel has hit civilians in Gaza, it is not committing genocide.
Good to hear.
Berlusconi, the erstwhile leader of Tajani’s party, and a colorful, scandal-ridden, media mogul who served as Italia’s prime minister for a cumulative nine years, was known to be a strong supporter of Israel, even raising the possibility that the Jewish state join the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
. It was under Berlusconi that Italia sold 30 jet trainers to Israel, in a billion-dollar deal. Though critical of Israel’s West Bank settlements, Berlusconi at one time stated that the West should support Israel in the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict.

In Davos, next to photo of Kfir Bibas, Herzog says Israelis unable to think about peace talks now
2024-01-20
[IsraelTimes] Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland
...home of the Helvetians, famous for cheese, watches, yodeling, and William Tell...
, next to a photo of one-year-old hostage Kfir Bibas, President Isaac Herzog says that Israelis are not able to think about a grinding of the peace processor with the Paleostinians right now.

"Nobody in his right mind is willing now to think about what will be the right solution of the peace agreements," he says. "Everyone wants to know that he will not be attacked in the same way from north or south or east."

"Israel lost trust in the grinding of the peace processores because they see that terror is glorified by our neighbors," says Herzog.

The president stresses that the "the war is not only between Israel and Hamas
...the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
"The world has to face it point blank: There is an empire of evil emanating from Iran," says Herzog, adding that such activities are going to "undermine any grinding of the peace processor and any stability in the world."

Herzog says the Hamas terror group must be uprooted to "enable a better future for the Paleostinians who are our neighbors." He continues by saying that Israel is also fighting for the entire free world, and that Europa

and the United States are next.

Herzog calls for "a very strong coalition" to come together to face Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. He accuses the world of "not giving a damn" about Israeli terror victims in the years before October 7.

Asked about the day after the war, Herzog says he envisions a "coalition of nations who are willing to commit to rebuilding Gazoo

" in a way that enables the safety of Israelis and Paleostinians, and a different future for Gaza.

He says the coalition would be made of "strong Western forces, strong regional forces," in dialogue with Gazooks and the Paleostinian Authority.

Herzog also reveals that he met with officials from the Red Thingy in Israel two days ago, "to discuss the dire medical situation of the hostages, the clear and present danger to our hostages."

"We are praying that all the medication... will reach them, but that’s only the beginning," he adds.

Entire Gaza population facing hunger crisis, famine risk

[GEO.TV] The entire 2.3 million population of Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
is facing crisis levels of hunger and the risk of famine is increasing each day, a UN-backed body said in a report published on Thursday.

The proportion of households in Gaza affected by high levels of acute food insecurity is the largest ever recorded globally, according to a report by the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC).

"There is a risk of famine and it is increasing each day that the current situation of intense hostilities and restricted humanitarian access persists or worsens," the IPC for Gaza said.

Distribution of aid within Gaza has been hampered by military operations, inspections of aid demanded by Israel, communications blackouts and shortages of fuel.

Herzog: Three times as much aid could be entering Gaza if not for UN’s ‘utter failure’

is failing to keep up with the amount of aid Israel is inspecting and is the reason why so little has entered the Strip even after Israel opened up its Kerem Shalom Crossing to ease the bottleneck.

"Unfortunately, due to the utter failure of the UN in its work with other partners in the region, they have been unable to bring in more than 125 trucks [of aid] a day," Herzog says in a meeting with visiting French Senate President Gérard Larcher.

"Today it is possible to provide three times the amount of humanitarian aid to Gazoo if the UN — instead of complaining all day — would do its job," Herzog says.

Israel has said that it has been inspecting hundreds of trucks per day at its Kerem Shalom and Nitzana Crossings and then many of the trucks subsequently remain outside Gaza.

The UN and Egypt have argued that Israel’s military campaign has made it too dangerous to regularly deliver aid inside and through Gaza.

In first, Singapore ambassador to Israel presents credentials to Herzog
2023-12-20
More normalcy, no matter what the Democratic party wants.
[IsraelTimes] Singapore’s new ambassador to Israel Ian Mak presents his credentials to President Isaac Herzog today, marking the first time the island nation has posted an envoy to Israel despite a 54-year-long relationship.

Israel and Singapore have close diplomatic and military ties, with Israel being a major arms supplier to the country.

Mak was one of three envoys to present their credentials today, along with new ambassadors from North Macedonia and Ecuador.

With many of those recalled for consultations being from South American countries, the presentation of the charter by the Ecuadorian ambassador Maria Veronica Abed Rojas is a positive sign for Israel.

65 US investors, tech executives to arrive in Israel for meetings in show of solidarity
2023-12-19
Despite claims to the contrary, Israel is not alone.
[IsraelTimes] A delegation of 65 investors, CEOs, and senior executives of US-based technology, venture capital and private equity firms is set to arrive in Israel today in a show of solidarity and to hold meetings.

The group — including senior executives from Bain Capital, Meetup.com, Apollo, Houzz, TPG, Susquehanna Growth Equity — will meet President Isaac Herzog, war cabinet Minister Benny Gantz and Economy Minister Nir Barkat.

They will also hold meetings with local business leaders including Mellanox CEO Eyal Waldman, whose 24-year-old daughter Danielle was one of 360 people murdered by Hamas

turbans at the Nova Festival on October 7. All told, some 1,200 people were killed by turbans that day, most of them civilians, and 240 taken hostage.

"After October 7th, we feel it is critical for venture capital and technology business leaders to stand with Israel. That means more than donating, but also being present to say that we have always been and will always be there to support Israel’s flourishing tech ecosystem. We will invest and continue to stand with the ’Start-Up Nation,’" says David Siegel, CEO of Meetup.com and co-organizer of the Israeli Tech Mission, in a press statement.

"Our trip was oversubscribed for attendees. The technology community recognizes the heightened need for support as many Israeli entrepreneurs and their workforces are on the front lines as reservists," he says.

Aleph founder Michael Eisenberg says, "Smart investors understand Israel’s resilience and that today is actually the perfect time to invest in Israel."
